Nigerian University Expands Learning Through Technology

The Nigerian Premier University, University of Ibadan, has expanded access to education and learning beyond its traditional campus in Ibadan, Oyo State, Nigeria.

The University eCampus has extended access to the school’s postgraduate education for working professionals across the globe, including Nigerians living abroad, but desires further studies from the school.

The postgraduate school of the school announced fully online academic and professional postgraduate programmes for the 2026 intake, as approved by the Senate of the school.

With this development, intending/prospective postgraduate students can obtain a postgraduate degree from the school without relocation or quitting their jobs and careers for further studies.

Speaking on the innovation, Prof. Simisola O. Akintola, Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research, Innovation and Strategic Partnerships), University of Ibadan, said, “As part of the University of Ibadan’s strategic drive to expand access to quality postgraduate education, our collaboration with Astria Learning represents a significant milestone.
