Egypt Launches New Tourism Investment Campaign
Egypt has launched a new tourism investment campaign aimed at increasing visitor numbers and attracting foreign investment into the country’s hospitality sector.
The Ministry of Tourism said the campaign would focus on promoting historical sites, beach resorts and cultural attractions across the country.
Officials stated that new investments were expected in hotels, transportation, entertainment facilities and tourism infrastructure.
Authorities also said the programme formed part of efforts to strengthen tourism revenue and support economic growth.
Egypt recorded an increase in tourist arrivals during recent months as the government expanded international tourism partnerships and promotional activities.
The tourism sector remains one of Egypt’s major sources of foreign exchange earnings alongside the Suez Canal and energy exports.
Industry officials said improved airport facilities and transport services were also expected to support growth in visitor numbers.
